This Saturday I will be on a panel at the Investigative Reporters and Editors conference in Phoenix, AZ. Two of my colleagues at Sunlight Foundation and I will be presenting on Bringing Investigative Reporting Into the Web 2.0 World. We will be showing off a number of the projects that we fund and the APIs that we develop in the lab.
Aside from the paltry attendance at early Refresh DC sessions, this is my first time presenting at a conference. I have a hard time communicating technical concepts to non-technical people. I always go too in depth with the technical details and everyone sits there looking at me like I'm crazy. So this will be good practice for that.
I still can't get over the fact that I am wearing jeans to work today. Finally! Screw you, business casual!
