County urges customers to opt-out.
If you live in Montgomery County, MD and are a customer of Comcast, pay close attention to your July bill. The company has added an Arbitration Notice to their customer agreement that reliquishes all rights of the consumer to seek remedies in court for, among other things, "claims for negligence, fraud or intentional wrongdoing."
The dirty part of all of this is that is is an opt out change to the agreement. Unless you contact them by mail or online you will be agreeing to the change. So go opt out right now.
Why do communications companies make themselves so easy to despise? Is there any company out there that offers quality service, maintains customer rights, and isn't a sleazy bastard?
